There is a lot of controversy in nutrition and it often seems like people can´t agree on anything.
Athlete should care his diet for get improve in competition.
Because if you can improve, why don´t you do it? It is very simple.
To start, I going to show the real food pyramid:
We can see that the most important foods are vegetables and fruits, this is due to both of them contains vitamins and majority of them are low-calorie.
- What does calorie mean?
+Calorie is a unit of measurement for energy. One calorie is formally defined as the amount of energy required to raise one cubic centimeter of water by one degree centigrade. For the purpose of measuring the amount of energy in food, nutritionists most commonly use kilocalories (equal to 1000 calories), and label the measurement either as "Kcal" or as "Calories" with a capital "C".
One Kcal is also equivalent to approximately 4184 kilojoules.
The principal factor that we see this, are the carbohydrates. In this food pyramid say us that we should eat more bread, cereal, rice, pasta and less vegetables. But it is depend´s about people is a athlete or not. People that only do sport sometimes should not eat many carbohydrates, wich are the principal energy used when you do sport.
